What is a Channel?
A channel is your publishing strategy in one place: which accounts you publish to, which format it uses, and how often posts go out. Ready posts line up in the channel and FeedMansion publishes them on the cadence you set.
Adding Posts to a Channel
- Review a draft on the Review page
- Click Approve to move it to the Posts tab
- Review the generated posts in the Posts tab
- Click Add to a channel
If you chose a channel while writing the draft, the action names that channel and adds the posts there directly. Otherwise, FeedMansion asks you to choose a channel. The picker shows each channel's format, timezone, and the open times available for the selected posts. Your last explicit choice can be preselected the next time the picker opens. Every completed add shows an Undo action.
Adding an existing post to a channel changes its publishing time. It does not replace the post's accounts or format. Those were set when the draft was approved. Any posts that fail to be added remain selected so you can try again.
You can always add a post when the visible planning horizon is full. FeedMansion opens the channel picker, continues the channel's weekly cadence into the future, and shows the later publishing time before you confirm. You can also add posts to a channel without publishing times. Those posts wait in order until someone adds a schedule in the channel settings. Nothing from that channel publishes until the schedule exists, so the picker and the confirmation message both say so. If channel details cannot be loaded, the picker says so and lets you try again.
To publish at one specific time instead, choose Schedule All. Manual times use the presence timezone shown in the scheduling window. FeedMansion also checks daylight-saving changes before scheduling.
Setting Your Schedule
Go to Presence > Channels to configure your posting schedule:
- Choose which days of the week to publish
- Set time slots for each day
- FeedMansion will fill each slot with the next post in your channel
Managing a Channel
- Reorder posts by dragging them in the channel list
- Move a post to another channel. The picker shows the new format, timezone, and publishing time before you confirm. If the move fails, the post stays in its current channel.
- Edit a queued post's text and settings without taking it out of the channel
- Remove a post from the channel without deleting it
- Pause the channel to stop automatic publishing temporarily
Tips
- Start with one or two posts per day and increase as you build up posts
- Mix content types to keep your feed varied
- Use the calendar view to see what's scheduled ahead
