Reusing hashtags with the Hashtag Bank

Save the hashtags you use often once. FeedMansion adds the right ones to each post, within every platform's limit.

What the Hashtag Bank does

Most accounts reuse the same handful of hashtags. The Hashtag Bank lets you save them once, on a presence. After that, FeedMansion adds the right ones to each post automatically. You do not retype them.

The bank is one ordered list. You control what shows up through three simple settings per tag.

Scope, pinned, and order

  • Scope. A tag applies to all platforms by default. You can limit a tag to specific platforms. A TikTok-only tag like #fyp then never shows up on LinkedIn.
  • Pinned. Pin a tag (for example your brand tag #zebralove) and it is always included where it fits.
  • Order. Drag tags to set their order. When a platform allows fewer tags than you have, the ones higher in the list win.

Per-platform limits

Platforms differ, so FeedMansion trims your tags to each one:

  • Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Mastodon, Bluesky, YouTube: up to 5
  • LinkedIn: 3
  • Facebook, X: 2

Pinned tags come first, then the rest in your order, until the limit is reached. Reddit, Google Business Profile, and Pinterest do not use hashtags, so the bank skips them.

Mastodon reads CamelCase tags more clearly for screen readers. Save those tags the way you want them to appear, for example #ZebraLove. FeedMansion keeps your capitalization.

Changing tags on a single post

When you write a post, the Hashtags panel shows which tags will be added on each platform. You have two options, and both apply to this post only. Your bank stays the same.

  • Customize for this post. Turn this on to edit the tags for this post without changing your bank. It starts pre-filled with the tags you would normally get, so you can add, reorder, or remove any of them. You can even remove a pinned tag, just for this one post.
  • No hashtags on this post. Turn this on to publish with none at all, even your pinned tag. This is useful for a sensitive post where a brand tag would feel wrong.

Getting ideas with Suggest hashtags

On a draft, the Hashtags panel has a Suggest hashtags button. It reads what your post is about and proposes relevant tags that are not already in your bank. Tap a suggestion to add it to this post. It goes into your customized tags for that post, so your bank stays the same. Ask again any time for more ideas.

This helps when a post needs a tag you have not saved yet. Your saved bank tags still apply as usual.

When hashtags are added

Hashtags are added when you approve a post, at the end of the caption. They become part of the post text from that point on. If you change the bank later, posts you already approved keep the tags they were given. To change those, edit the post itself.

Who can edit the bank

Owners and admins manage the bank in presence settings. Other members can still adjust the tags on their own drafts.
