This period simplified several parts of the product that people touched often.
What changed
- The Ideas feature was removed so FeedMansion could focus more clearly on draft workflows instead of maintaining a separate ideas system.
- This rollback happened in two steps. Idea portals and scheduled auto-summon were removed first, and the Ideas feature itself followed in this period.
- Editable collaborator roles were simplified to
adminandmember. Owners remained a separate non-assignable role. - The Sources area was simplified, and the earlier folder-heavy workflow plus the briefly available GitHub source setup were removed from the main UI so the product could focus on feed, calendar, and email flows.
- Video approval started showing platform-specific validation errors and, when possible, a one-click transcode retry.
- In the create-and-approve flow, validation failures kept the saved draft and sent users straight to that draft's detail page.
Availability notes
- The Sources simplification was most noticeable to teams that had used folders, GitHub sources, or the older Sources workflow.
- The transcode retry option only appeared for the specific video validation failures that could actually be retried that way.
