Linking Social Accounts

Why does Twitter/X always connect the same account?

Twitter/X OAuth 2.0 uses the account you're currently logged into in your browser. Unlike other platforms (Facebook, Instagram), Twitter doesn't provide a way to force account selection during the OAuth flow.

To connect a different Twitter/X account:

  1. Recommended: Use an incognito/private browser window
  2. Or: Log out of Twitter/X in your browser first
  3. Return to FeedMansion and click "Connect Twitter"
  4. Log in with the account you want to connect

Note: This is a Twitter platform limitation, not a FeedMansion issue. All social media management tools face the same constraint.

Can I connect multiple Facebook Pages?

Yes! Facebook OAuth supports account selection. When you click "Connect Facebook Page," you'll see a list of all Facebook Pages you manage and can choose which one to connect.

To connect multiple pages:

  1. Click "Connect Facebook Page"
  2. Select the first page from the list
  3. Complete the authorization
  4. Repeat for additional pages

Why does Instagram require a Business account?

Instagram's API only supports Business and Creator accounts. Personal accounts cannot be used for posting through third-party apps like FeedMansion.

To convert to a Business account:

  1. Open Instagram app and go to your profile
  2. Tap the menu (three lines) in the top right
  3. Tap "Settings" > "Account"
  4. Tap "Switch to Professional Account"
  5. Choose "Business" or "Creator"
  6. Complete the setup steps

Note: You'll need a Facebook Page linked to your Instagram Business account for posting to work.

How do I reconnect a disconnected account?

If an account shows as "Unhealthy" or "Token Expired," simply click the reconnect button on the Social Accounts page. You'll be guided through the OAuth flow again to refresh your access tokens.

Content & Posting

What are the character limits for each platform?

  • Twitter/X: 280 characters
  • LinkedIn: 3000 characters
  • Facebook Page: 63,206 characters (5000 recommended for engagement)
  • Instagram: 2200 characters
  • Threads: 500 characters
  • Bluesky: 300 characters per post (threads supported)
  • Mastodon: 500 characters (may vary by instance)
  • Pinterest: 500 characters (image required)

Which platforms require images?

Pinterest and Instagram require images for all posts. All other platforms support text-only posts, though media is optional and recommended for better engagement.

Can I schedule posts in advance?

Yes! You can schedule posts to specific dates and times. Posts in the "Scheduled" tab will be published at their scheduled time. You can also bulk schedule multiple posts at once.

What is the difference between "Review" and "Approved"?

Review: AI-generated posts that need your approval before they can be published or scheduled. Review these posts, make edits if needed, and approve them.

Approved: Posts you've approved and are ready to publish. You can publish them immediately, schedule them for later, or make additional edits.

How does AI draft generation work?

Your ghost reads your blog post, understands your voice (based on the persona you've created), and prepares drafts tailored to each platform – a Twitter thread, a LinkedIn post, a Bluesky update. You review and approve. The blank page is gone; you just add the finishing touch.

What are Ghost Writers?

Ghost Writers are AI personas that write like you – or like the version of you that you want on social media. Create a "Technical Founder" ghost for deep-dive threads, or a "Friendly Expert" for approachable takes. Each ghost learns your voice and prepares drafts you'll actually want to post. They remove the blank page; you add the finishing touch.

Can I set up fully hands-off posting?

No. FeedMansion requires you to review and approve AI-generated drafts before they can be published or scheduled. This is by design and in your best interest.

Why we require approval:

  • Quality control: AI can make mistakes, generate inappropriate drafts, or miss context
  • Brand safety: Unreviewed AI posts could damage your reputation or violate platform policies
  • Legal compliance: You're responsible for everything posted to your accounts
  • Platform terms: Most social platforms require human oversight

What FeedMansion handles for you:

  • Scheduling of approved posts to optimal times

The workflow: AI generates drafts > You review and approve > FeedMansion publishes on schedule. This gives you control while saving time.

Subscription & Limits

How many social accounts can I connect?

The number of social accounts you can connect depends on your plan:

  • Starter (€24/mo): 10 social accounts
  • Professional (€89/mo): 30 social accounts
  • Agency (€399/mo): 100 social accounts

Each account represents one social media profile (e.g., one Twitter account, one LinkedIn profile, one Facebook Page). You can mix and match platforms.

What happens when my trial ends?

When your trial ends, you'll need to upgrade to a paid plan to continue using FeedMansion. Your data (posts, accounts, settings) will be preserved. You can upgrade at any time from the Settings page.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings page. You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.

Troubleshooting

Why did my post fail to publish?

Common reasons for publishing failures:

  • Token Expired: Your account needs to be reconnected. Go to Social Accounts and click reconnect.
  • Rate Limit: Platform API rate limits reached. Posts will be retried.
  • Content Violation: Post content violates platform policies (spam, prohibited content, etc.)
  • Missing Media: Pinterest and Instagram require images

Check the error message on the post for specific details. You can retry publishing after fixing the issue.

Why is my account showing as "Unhealthy"?

An "Unhealthy" status usually means the access token has expired or been revoked. This can happen if you change your password, revoke access from the platform's settings, or if the token naturally expires. Simply reconnect the account to fix this.

Privacy & Security

How is my data stored?

All your data, including social account credentials, is encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption. We use secure OAuth 2.0 for social account connections, so we never see your social media passwords.

Can FeedMansion access my private messages?

No. FeedMansion only requests permissions to post content on your behalf and read basic profile information. We never request access to direct messages, followers, or other private data.

How do I delete my account and data?

You can request account deletion from the Settings page. All your data (posts, accounts, settings, and personal information) will be permanently deleted within 30 days. This action cannot be undone.
